Position: Program Manager in AI Team
Tell me about you and your role?
I am a Program Manager in a AI team that works with other Microsoft teams to scale their products into more languages beyond English, making AI less expensive, more scalable, and market relevant. I work to ensure diversity and inclusion are addressed so all the cool features we release are rapidly available to those who don’t have English as their go-to language.
Tell me about your career path so far?
I studied Computer Engineering and Business and, although I took a couple of internships as a Software Engineer, I found that Product Management is more fore me. I am close to the tech side of things but I also pay special attention to the business needs and all the stakeholders’ requirements. I started in my current role right after graduation, after an internship the previous summer.
What do you like about working in tech?
I love the huge impact everything we do has on society. This has both upsides and downsides, because the responsibility is huge, but the chance of changing things on a massive scale and set the path for the future to come is exciting!
Share 1 insight for someone looking to enter the tech industry?
Tech is shaping the society we are living in, and being part of those conversations is very rewarding. The more diverse points of view and voices we have in this field, the more people our products and services will fit for.
