CWiT Education will host a Spotlight Panel Discussion on Industries’ role in STEMing the gap in education.
Join our quarterly Education Spotlight to hear about the role of STEM in the primary school curriculum and how industry initiatives can support in “STEMing the gap” for teachers in the classroom in order to prepare their students with digital skills required in the future. Hear from a classroom teacher, a school principal, and how the new program from PwC “Tech We Can” helps to bridge that gap and provide opportunities to our younger generations. Tech We Can aims to open the minds of young people, particularly girls, to what a career in technology could look like. Tech We Can shows that a career in technology is applicable to almost every industry, from sports, to fashion, to space, and everything in between! Tech We Can was born out of PwC UK where it has had huge success and has become its own registered charity. PwC Ireland now have the opportunity to bring Tech We Can to young girls and boys across schools in Ireland. Through our discussion, we will share further details on the programme and its pilot, along with feedback and comments from school communities across Ireland.
